Overview of Video Options

Solution Updated March 2012

Three video options are available:

  • Send the video of the speaker to all room attendees. Each room attendee must enable Send Video if they wish to send their video and enable Receive Video if they wish to receive video from others. These options are provided in the File menu.
  • Send the video from a single video source to all the room attendees - 1 to many. The person initiating this process must be a Moderator!
  • A video conference call for four individuals - 4-Way. The person initiating the 4-way video call must be a Moderator, but Non-Moderators may participate in the call.

After a Video Call is initiated by a Moderator, room attendees are prompted for their premission to participate in the video call.

The video source is usually a webcam, but it could be other video devices such as TVs, VCRs, Professional Video Cameras, and so on.

The 4-Way Video Call is not intended to show the video from four individuals to multiple attendees and should only be used with up to four individuals.

The Send Video and Video Call demonstrations provide additional details.
