Room Administrator Guide
Administration Guide for eConference Room Administrators. Includes the step-by-step use of the
Web Administration - Room Administration tool. This manual is recommended for individuals who are
responsible for customizing and maintaining individual virtual rooms.
Intended audience:
This article outlines the Web Administration Room Administration functions. The primary audience is individuals with the responsibility of customizing the virtual conference rooms.
To use Web Administration, Room Administration functions you need the room administration password and the room administration URL link. That information is available from the Community Server Administrator.
Login to Web Administration - Room Administration
- Start your web browser and type (or cut and paste) the room administration URL linkinto the browser and press Enter. (sample url - "roomadmin_URL/masteradmin/room2.asp?id=rs672ea4d2cef8)"
- The login form will display.
- The Room Name will be shown. Type the room administration Password and click the Configure Room Button
- The Room Administration form will display
- Configure Room: Edit or add the information on this form
If this is the first time you have seen this form you will notice some of the fields have been completed. These details would have been filled in when the room was created or edited by the Community Server Administrator.
- Company Name: Type in /edit the name of the company.
- Email Address: Type in/modify the contact email address.
- Phone Number: Type in/modify the contact phone number.

- Mod Password: Type in / modify the password room moderators will use to enter the room.
- User Password: Type in/Modify the password users, non moderators, will use to enter a room. When left null no password will be required.
- Title: Type in Modify the name used as the Window title.
- Opening Page URL: Type in/modify the URL for the web page that will display when a user enters a room.
- Help URL: Type in/modify the URL for the help page that will display when a user clicks the Help Menu.
- Logo URL: Type in/modify the URL for the logo that will display when a user enters a room.
- Features: Click on Allow Text Chat selection to allow/dissalow text chatting.
- The Room is Open: Check on the select to make this room available Allow Recording: Click on the selection for User and/or Moderators to permit recording.
- Voice Quality: Click on the selection box and choose your desired voice quality for the room. The higher the number the better the quality but requires higher bandwidth. More information on audio quality
Note: The voice quality cannot be changed on the fly. When this value is changed all users must leave and re-enter the room. Failure to do so will result in some or all users hearing "chipmunk" like sounds.
- When you have completed the form, click the Update button to update the room information.
- The message Data Updated and BACK will display. Click BACK to return to the Room Administration form.

Log into Room
You would use the following steps to check the changes you made.
- Click Click here to enter this room.
- Click Click here to enter room.
- The room login form will display. Type in the Username, Password (if required) and click OK.
- You will enter the room with the name you specified and with the user level (user or moderator) as identified by the password you used.
